He has arrived!

My daughter’s little brother came into the world two and a half weeks ago. She just arrived to see him on Saturday and has sent some pictures of the two of them together.

The day he was born, my daughter had sent me a picture that her dad had sent to her and I was so excited. So much in fact, I addressed them both in an email:

Congratulations on the birth of your son! I was so excited to hear the news, and even more so because you two have given (my daughter’s name here) a brother. She is so excited.

I wish (the baby’s name here) good health and happiness!

If you two ever need anything for the baby, please let me know. I am always looking at baby clothes every time I go shopping. 🙂

All my best,

PS. (His wife’s name here) the best is yet to come.

Needless to say, I never received a response. I just knew that my X never showed his wife the email since the email had been sent to his email account. I’m sure he made me out to be a horrible person like they all do when talking about their X and this email would have shown that I am not at all like he had described me to be.

Prior to my daughter leaving to her dad’s, I told her to ask her stepmother if she was told about the email I had sent. Well the day after she arrived, my daughter sent me a message saying I had an email. When I went to look this is what it said:

Thank you very much for your wishes. You are so thoughtful and we are very glad (baby’s name here) will have a big sister.

Best regards (both of their names here)

It was at that moment that I knew it came from her. After all, the email began with “Dear” and he would never write that to me. Also, he would have never said that I was so thoughtful.

Sad that she had to be told about it in order to see it. There was just no way she would have known otherwise. I’m glad she saw it and replied. I just wanted her to know how happy I am for all of them.
